sarah lives in Africa. Uganda to be exact.
if you're not receiving phone calls from your friends halfway around the world, you probably don't have a good story.
i do. and her name is annie.
annie lives in nashville pursuing a few beautiful dreams: singing harmony & deepening her already rich songwriting ability. i was introduced to annie by my friend nick who, at a new year's party, asked: 'hey man, do you know annie parsons? this girl randomly wrote on my blog. all i know is that she's beautiful, has some sort of kansas city connection, and is a Christian. i thought you would know her.'
my response: 'yeah nick, i do. because all beautiful, kansas city connected Christians are on a listserv together...'
(this really wasn't my response, but i officially tell the story with this wit inserted into that moment. my real response of 'uhhhhhhhhhhh. no.' doesn't quite seem as good!).
but yeah, i do know annie parsons. or, at least, i do now.

(mad props to ashley p. for the pics.
if you're in the area and need some pictures taken... wedding... engagement... senior year... 'i like my dog and so we need to have some photos of us playing in the park together'.... faux-engagement... you would be absolutely stupid to not call ashley & jeremy. no really, you would.)

I feel so honored to be a part of your blog post Graham. Is that bad that I said 'hell' ? Annie Parsons looks to be just lovely. I am still calling you because I consider this blog post to be the 'abridged version.' :)
Sarah
Hi Sarah. I've heard lots about you. Which makes me DELIGHTED that you CALLED all the way from AFRICA!!!!! If Sarah from Uganda is calling, then I feel a little bit famous. :)
Sarah: promise: Annie is the coolest in the whole wide world.
I have been to Africa too. This is why you should believe me.
forget e-harmony, let's just call it free-harmony. It worked for us. baahahaha ;)
thanks for the insane props and making our cheeks blush. The way we feel about you can only be summed up in this:

we agree with greta - annie rocks the house and you are a blessed man to have her in your life now, as she is to have you- I grew up in Africa, so if that doesn't carry weight, I don't know what does!
1. I'm looking forward to the unabridged version.
2. My long-dormant lacrimal glands still work (I'm that freakin' happy for you).
3. And seriously . . . a listserv?! Could you, um, hook a brother up with some forwards?
what a precious picture. it sounds like annie is quite the catch and graham, you deserve the best! :) it's been a while since i've seen you, but i'm sure you haven't changed a bit.
well, as long as we're throwing out our Africa credibility... i've seen Blood Diamond no less than 2 times all the way through AND i thought it was amazing.
yes, yes, this is definitely the abridged version for all. a call to Africa, Wichita and wherever else is at hand...
beej, my man, i would love to add you to the listserv, but sadly your shafting of a certain amazing city has caused quite the backlash... but seriously, what exactly are the lacrimal glands?
